Nick
According to a study done in 2011, from USA Today, 28% of people meet their spouses in college.
Well, I think it's safe to say I found mine, and I don't even know what he looks like.
Nick. All I know is that his name is Nick and he would do anything for me, even take the clothes off of his back if I was freezing in the tundra, just to keep me warm.
How do I know this? I endured a similar experience to freezing in the Tundra.
It was 3:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning and my roommate and I were walking back to our dorm from a night out on the town. We were huddled together with our arms intertwined, for we were dressed for a summer evening, not a brisk morning in the middle of October.
We were approaching the steps to FML when we notice three boys walking toward us. We were shocked and relieved to find others of our kind wandering around the empty campus of ours.
He asked if we were okay. We said yes.
He asked if we were cold, and before I could say anything, he was stripping the sweatshirt off his back and putting it in our arms.
A true Knight in Shining Armor, or rather, a Knight in a Pink Bat-Mitzvah Hoody that said "Nick" on the back in a font size that you would be able to see from across campus.
But how would I find him to return it?
"You'll find me. Don't worry," He assured.
I am definitely not worried.
I would attach a photo of the sweatshirt, but that puts my chance at keeping it forever at risk.
Nick, if you're out there, I have your sweatshirt. It's safe and sound. I appreciate it and you more than you will ever know.
Yours, Megan
